Prof  Hal Swindall is a California native who earned his MA in English at Claremont Graduate University and his PhD in comparative literature at UC Riverside in 1994. Since then, he has worked as an English professor at East Asian universities, mainly teaching writing and literature, but also integrating writing skills into oral English classes. Presently, he teaches undergraduates and graduates at Jinan University in Guangzhou, China. Besides Global Listening Centre Hal is a member of the Asia Pacific Writers and Translators Association and the American Literary Translators Association. He is also a US State Dept. English Language Specialist and the books editor for Mensa World Journal, as well as a freelance editor for Cactus Communications. Hal’s interests include writing, editing, translating, art , Listening and classical music.”
