Dr Charlie D. Hurt  is a renowned  professor and academic administrator with over 30 years of experience working with and serving on boards. PhD,  (1981) from, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Major: Information Science. Dr Hurt returned to Arizona in May, 2014. Prior Arizona resident for 16 years, eight of which were in Oro Valley (1994-2002). Dr C D Hurt has  specific skills in personnel management, strategic planning and budgeting and negotiation.

Managed units with budgets over $35 million and personnel counts of over 600.

Significant experience with technology transfer, intellectual property and obtaining grants  and contracts.

Accomplished public speaker and author of 4 books and over 50 articles and reports.Dr Hurt is B.A., 1972, University of Virginia. Major: English Literature.

M.S., 1976, University of Kentucky. Major: Information Science.
