Dr. Myrene is an ardent advocate of listening and is an active member of the Global Listening Center and is serving as  Director  of GLC’s Instructional Listening Division. She has also been a member of the Ethics and Membership Selection Committee.
Myrene Agustin Magabo, currently serves as Director of the Social Advocacy and Community Engagement Office of the University of San Agustin-Iloilo City, Philippines. She has been an online faculty with the University of Phoenix since 2008 and taught Communication courses on campus at Penn State University from 2008 to 2015. Dr. Magabo earned her doctorate in Communication from the University of the Philippines. Dr. Magabo specializes in strategic development & innovative approaches in communication, research, theory and model building, curriculum and instructional design, instructional communication. She is an  Director of the Global Listening Center and was a member of the Ethics and Membership Committee and Instructional Listening Division. As elected Board Member of the International Communication Association – Student Representation in 2020-2021, she served as Co-Chair of Student and Early Career Scholars Advisory Committee and was also Secretary, of Instructional and Development Division of the International Communication Association. She has been an Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the American Communication Association since 2016. Dr. Magabo consistently pursues research and publications and has published works relevant to the fields of education and communication.
